An assistant that speaks MCP (the Model Context Protocol) can list, read, create and change your notes while Paragraph is open.
In Edit ▸ Preferences… ▸ Advanced, choose the client and copy the text shown under Paste this into the client: into its configuration. The client starts paragraph.exe --mcp-stdio by itself: there is no server to start.
With Allow external control (MCP) off, the default, scripts and clients can only read your notes; every change is refused. Turn it on to let them write. A change made by a client on the open note is one step of Edit ▸ Undo.
